A lawyer with proven experience, he is the partner in charge of the Labor Law and Civil Litigation department. He has been practicing law since 1988.

 

He has extensive experience and in-depth knowledge in claims for damages arising from accidents occurring during working hours, one of the main contingencies for companies in terms of subsequent liability. These claims may have criminal implications, especially in cases of serious physical injury, disability, or death.

 

Gutiérrez studied at the University of Panama and holds a postgraduate degree and a master's degree in labor law.

 

He has held the position of Deputy Minister of Labor and Director General of Labor (1992-1994), and also served as Director of Complaints for the Ombudsman's Office of Panama (2001-2006), dealing with issues related to the provision of public services, abuses of power against citizens, and dispute resolution. 

 

Since 2000, he has been an arbitrator for the resolution of labor disputes before the Panama Canal Authority (ACP).
